Reporter and copy editor is newest member of local advertising and marketing company

PASO ROBLES – Scott Brennan, CEO of Access Publishing, hired Meagan Friberg this month as a new team member, reporter and copy editor. Friberg, a Paso Robles resident since 2001, brings experience gained over the past three years as the sports reporter for the Paso Robles Press.


“We are excited Meagan is joining us,” Brennan said. “She brings a high level of talent and experience.”


Friberg will oversee the online content for Access Publishing, including the Paso Robles Daily News, as well as the company’s other online and print publications.  Access Publishing’s media properties include the San Luis Obispo Visitors GuideCentral Coast Active, North County Access, Your Cambria Phone Book, Templeton Chamber Guide, the Heritage Ranch and Oak Shore directories.


Friberg will work closely with clients, freelance writers and local businesses to ensure the quality and relevance of news reports and feature articles produced by Access Publishing. She will write stories, press releases, website content and more.

Friberg was born and raised in Bakersfield and attended Cal State Bakersfield before transferring to Cal Poly SLO where she majored in journalism.  While raising her children, she worked in the hospitality industry and the medical field and, after life settled down a bit, returned to Cal Poly and Ashford University to complete her degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, kayaking, long walks on the beach, camping and spending time with friends and family including her husband, Ron, and their seven children and five grandchildren.
