Paul Shannon leads Access Publishing’s team of Internet Marketing professionals in helping local businesses improve their online presence. The new online marketing service is called Access Local Search. The service optimizes business profiles on Google, Yelp, Yahoo and Bing and uses search engine optimization strategies to help companies rank higher on search engines. “Customers are using their smart phones and computers to find local businesses,” says Shannon. “We show businesses how to improve their online profiles and get in front of new potential clients.” Shannon points to a recent survey that shows four out of 10 consumers are using online local search every single day. Fifty-seven percent of buyers are using Internet searches as their primary way to find local goods and services, according a recent survey of 3,000 U.S. households by ComScore. Shannon has spoken to hundreds of business owners and managers. He has been the presenting speaker at several seminars and presentations in Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria. He collaborates at Access Publishing with Internet marketing specialist Paul Baker, website designer Alex Juchneiwicz, graphic designer Jane Johnson and other writers and interns. “Paul is a leader at Access Publishing,” says CEO Scott Brennan. “He is relentlessly dedicated to his clients success and encourages the entire team to deliver great results.” Paul gets involved with the local community. He is an Atascadero Chamber of Commerce Ambassador and a member of the San Luis Obispo Business Networking International. Shannon grew up on the Central Coast and is a graduate of Atascadero High School. He has a Bachelors of Science in Entrepreneurship from San Diego State University and six years sales experience for several well-known companies, including Northwestern Mutual and Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
