Meet Meagan Friberg

As a reporter and copy editor, Meagan Friberg assist with online and print content for Access Publishing, including the Paso Robles Daily News, the San Luis Obispo Visitors Guide, and various client websites.

“Being part of the Access Publishing team has given me the opportunity to be surrounded by professionals who continually provide a progressive approach to all marketing, advertising, print and web content for each and every client and to our entire community,” says Friberg.

She has a passion for photography and the written word; blending these two skills is what she says keeps her job exciting. A Paso Robles resident since 2001, Friberg has been a wordsmith since an early age and has gained a lifetime of experience and knowledge working in various fields including newspaper, magazine, hospitality, medical and, as a sports reporter for the Paso Robles Press.

Friberg works closely with a variety of clients, freelance writers and local business owners to ensure the quality and relevance of numerous news reports, feature articles and press releases. She enjoys working with the website designers at Access to help ensure the content on their clients’ sites is creative, accurate and relevant.

Friberg was born and raised in Bakersfield, attended Cal State Bakersfield, Cal Poly SLO and Ashford University where she completed her degree in Journalism and Mass Communications.

1. Where did you grow up and why aren’t you there now?
Bakersfield, but in my adult years I have lived in San Luis Obispo, overseas, Santa Ynez Valley and now in Paso Robles – I love meeting new people everywhere I go!

2. What are you most passionate about professionally?
The written word, photography and helping others tell their stories.

3. What would be impossible for you to give up?
My faith, my family and my friends

4. Where can we find you when you’re not working?
On the beach; taking a walk; reading or writing; kayaking; camping, and spending time with friends and family including my husband, children & grandchildren

5. What’s the one problem you are best at solving for your clients?
Helping them tell their story, writing it down, making people feel comfortable, gaining their trust and presenting them in their very best light.

6. Anything else you’d like to tell people about yourself?
I will never do karaoke, but I have the greatest voice ever when I sing out loud in my car. I prefer fresh veggies & fruit over chocolate any day
