Job Purpose: The advertising representative position will be responsible for sales of online services and print publications and directories in San Luis Obispo and South County. He or she will manage and successfully execute the sales process including lead generation, prospect qualification, face-to-face meetings, webinars, online demos, contract negotiations and closing. He or she will serve as lead sales contact for the project from sales generation to sales close and then ad layout and approval.
Primary products to sell and represent: San Luis Obispo County Visitors Guide, slovisitorsguide.com Central Coast Active magazine, centralcoastactive.com Web site development, accesspublishing.com/web-design Local Search Optimization, accesslocalsearch.com Primary Responsibilities: • Prospecting/Lead Generation • Cold calling and setting appointments for live demos • Client qualification • Client presentations • Face to face meetings • Conducting live demos and sales webinars • Proposal creation • Contract creation and negotiation • Closing clients • Client referrals • Networking activities in San Luis Obispo County • Setting goals and priorities • Sales tool development & implementation • Daily, weekly, monthly & quarterly reporting • Assist with strategy, direction and planning • Maintain client relationships • Continuous communication with the Marketing Department to ensure consistent message • Manage sales cycle through Salesforce with clear and up to date documentation • Work with customer on ad design/ information and layout getting customers final approval.
